The E24 Metro V2 integration supports:

  • Void Orders

  • Tracking History, subject to TechTrack configuration

  • References

  • Signature Required

  • Multiple packages within one carrier order

Information to be Provided

The following credentials and data points are mandatory to connect to E24 Metro V2. Ensure you have these items available before starting the setup:

DATA ELEMENT

SOURCE (HOW TO OBTAIN)

Shipping subscription key

Provided by E24 Metro for the applicable test or production account.

Client code

Provided by E24 Metro to identify your shipping account.

Collection address and contact information

Provided by your shipping operation: contact name, company, street address, city, province, postal code, country, phone, and email.

Enabled services and service-area coverage

Confirm with E24 Metro which services and shipment lanes your account can use.

For Tracking History, obtain a separate tracking CDS key from E24 Metro. Tracking requires TechTrack configuration; the shipping subscription key does not replace the tracking credential.

Specifications and Constraints

Operational Details

E24 Metro V2 supports domestic and regional small parcel shipping in Canada, using Same Day Delivery (SDD) and Next Day Delivery (NDD). Service availability depends on your carrier account and shipment lane.

  • Shipment data: Provide the recipient's contact name, phone, email, street address, city, province, postal code, and country.

  • Package weight: Include at least one package with a positive weight. Package dimensions are optional and are sent when provided.

  • International shipments: International shipping is not supported.

  • Return labels: A return-address override supplies return-address information for an outbound shipment; it does not generate a return label.

Carrier Tab

E24 Metro Credentials

  • Subscription key: Enter the shipping subscription key provided by E24 Metro. This credential is used for shipment processing and voids.

  • Client code: Enter the carrier-provided code identifying your account.

Use credentials matching the account's test or production environment.

Pickup Scheduling

  • Pickup open time: Set the beginning of your pickup availability.

  • Pickup close time: Set the end of your pickup availability.

  • Pickup ready hours: Enter the preparation time, in hours, used to calculate shipment readiness.

  • Weekends mode: Select how weekends are handled when calculating the pickup date.

Pickup scheduling can move the collection date to a later day when the calculated ready time falls outside the configured hours. Carrier-specific scheduling fields may be hidden when the portal uses the shared pickup module.

Collection Address

Complete Sender name, Sender company, Address 1, City, State/province, Zip, Country, Email, and Phone in Collection address.

Address 2 and Address 3 are optional. Although some generic address controls are not marked mandatory, E24 Metro V2 requires the collection province, country, phone, and email when processing shipments.

Labels Tab

Supported label formats: ZPL and PDF.

E24 Metro returns ZPL labels and provides a PDF label URL when PDF output is enabled on the carrier account.

For PDF output on an account that returns only ZPL, enable Convert ZPL to PDF in the Baseline Account's Labels tab. Otherwise, arrange PDF output with E24 Metro.

EPL and DPL labels are not supported.

Service and Defaults

  • Service code: Select Same Day Delivery (SDD) or Next Day Delivery (NDD), or use the service supplied on the order.

  • Override WMS service code: Enable this option when the configured Client Account service should override the service supplied by the Integrated system.

  • Currency: Select the currency used for the shipment. A currency value is required.

  • PO box validation: Select Enabled to apply the plugin's PO box check to the delivery address. Disabled turns off this check; it does not establish that the carrier accepts PO box deliveries.

  • Delivery time window: Enter the delivery window to supply to E24 Metro, when applicable.

  • Minimum age override: Select an account-level age requirement when it should take precedence over the order's Minimum age.

Collection Address Override

To use a different collection address for this client, enable Override sender address in Collection address override and complete the address and contact information, including Sender name and Sender company.

Without this override, the integration uses the Baseline Account's collection names and contact information.

Return Address

To supply a client-specific return address, enable Override return address in Return address and complete the corresponding address and contact information.

Specifying Rate Shopping Service Codes

E24 Metro V2 does not support Rate Shopping. Select the shipment service directly.

Label References

E24 Metro V2 sends two order reference values to the carrier. Their configuration is not exposed by the plugin's account interface.

The Client Account's Carrier tab also provides these reference-based settings:

  • Shipment sorting code: Configure the value used for carrier shipment sorting.

  • Shipment specification: Configure the value supplied for each package's shipment specification.

These mappings establish that reference data is sent to E24 Metro; whether a value appears on the carrier-generated label depends on the carrier's label output.

In the order's Carrier tab, configure the following:

  • Service code: Select Same Day Delivery (SDD) or Next Day Delivery (NDD), subject to any Client Account service override.

  • Signature required: Enable this option to request a delivery signature.

  • Minimum age: Select the shipment's age requirement. A configured Client Account Minimum age override takes precedence.

Click Save to apply the order-level changes. After the Order is updated, continue with the standard shipping workflow.

Troubleshooting

  • Shipment or void authentication fails: Verify Subscription key and Client code in the Baseline Account's Carrier tab. Use shipping credentials for the selected environment, rather than the tracking CDS key.

  • Collection contact or address is missing: Review Collection address in the Baseline Account. If Override sender address is enabled for the client, review Collection address override instead, including the contact name, company, province, phone, and email.

  • Shipment validation fails: Check the recipient's complete address and contact information, a supported Service code, the Client Account's Currency, and a positive weight for every package.

  • Collection date is later than expected: Review Pickup open time, Pickup close time, and Pickup ready hours against the portal's time zone and the shipment's scheduling inputs.

  • PDF output fails on a ZPL-only account: Enable Convert ZPL to PDF in the Baseline Account's Labels tab or confirm PDF provisioning with E24 Metro.

  • Age requirement differs from the order: Review the Client Account's Minimum age override, which takes precedence over the order's Minimum age.

  • Tracking history is unavailable: Confirm TechTrack configuration and the separate tracking CDS key. Tracking also requires both the package tracking number and the carrier order number.
