Integration Requirements - Square API

Basic Requirements

When integrating your Square instance, Techdinamics will require the following information:

  • Square API Details (Square client ID, Location ID, Merchant ID)
  • Carrier mapping list (if needed)
  • SKU mapping list (if needed)

Any additional information about tags, filtering, etc.


Known Issues

Retrieving the order ID

Retrieving order ID as it appears in the UI is currently impossible due to the API limitations (https://developer.squareup.com/forums/t/online-store-reference-id-order-number-not-available-in-the-current-orders-api/83/3).
  • Workaround: utilizing the Square's internal id instead (which is visible in the order's url).
