How to set up a nopCommerce Sales Channel (BETA) [Step-by-step guide]

the To connect nopCommerce, first create the Sales Channel connection, and then set up its parameters.



Once the connection is established between the channel and techOMS, you can use its supported features as listed in: techOMS Sales Channels - Master List [Guides List].

I. ONBOARDING REQUIREMENTS



  • Have an active nopCommerce store with API access enabled.
  • Obtain your Shop Domain (your nopCommerce store base URL).
  • Obtain your nopCommerce credentials (username and password).



II. CREATE THE SALES CHANNEL

III. CONFIGURE ADDITIONAL PARAMETERS



To configure additional parameters:



  1. Click Channels from the left menu under the Sales Channels section.
  2. Click on the created channel's name.
  3. Use the highlighted areas in the screenshot below and configure the required settings.





SECTIONS



A) QUICK ACTIONS lets you perform additional actions:

WARNING
WARNING: Only sales order synchronization is supported. No product sync or inventory sync is available.
  • Save: Saves and commits changes.
  • Delete: Deletes the channel connection.

B) VIEW SELECTION allows you to navigate the different tabs:

  • Main settings (default): Configures general and automation behavior using: Main Settings of a Beta Sales Channel [Information].

    NOTE
     NOTE    : In Main settings, the Inventory Synchronization Mode dropdown provides these options: Manual, Real-Time Adjustment, Scheduled Full Synchronization. For detailed instructions, refer to: Main Settings of a Beta Sales Channel [Information].
  • Advanced settings: Configures additional system/privacy settings using: How to manage Fulfillment Channels Advanced settings [Step-by-Step guide].
  • Channel settings: Sets the channel integration parameters listed below.
    • Shop Domain: https://staging.yourstore.com/

      The base URL of your nopCommerce store.
    • User Name / Password: your-nopcommerce-username / your-nopcommerce-password

      nopCommerce credentials used for API access (REST).
    • Download Orders with the following Status: Pending, Processing

      Defines which nopCommerce orders are eligible to be downloaded into techOMS, based on order status.
    • Download Orders with the following Financial Status: Paid

      Defines which nopCommerce orders are eligible to be downloaded into techOMS, based on financial status.
    • Pass Shipped Date: Yes

      Select whether techOMS sends the shipment's shipped date to nopCommerce when the order is closed.
    • Notify Customer: Yes

      Select whether techOMS passes the customer notification value to nopCommerce during shipment processing.
NOTE
 NOTE: nopCommerce may still display a shipped date when Pass Shipped Date is disabled, because nopCommerce generates the date automatically when the order is closed. techOMS does not send the customer notification directly; it passes the selected Notify Customer value to nopCommerce, and the final notification behavior depends on nopCommerce.
C) CONTENT VIEW displays and/or allows editing of the settings in the "View Selection" section.
